Ed Tourtellotte founded Tourtellotte Solutions as a consulting organization in 1998 on the idea that the cultural strengths and customer focus of the Big 6 firms might be enhanced if they were complemented by an internal focus on technical excellence. By placing technical aptitude and affinity at the core of his company, the company has been able to achieve a long string of project successes.
In 2004, the company began to develop its own suite of products marking a transition from exclusively a consulting organization to a products, services, and consulting company. Tourtellotte Solutions started this migration early in 2004 with the introduction of tcVisualize, a global clinical trials simulator and forecaster. With the acquisition of QRS Sourcing (formerly known as Rockblocks from Rockport Trade Systems), the company plans to use its unique approach to supply chain management challenges to improve and drive industry-leading functionality in sourcing for our retail, consumer goods, and private brands customers.
In 2007, TS developed two new software products, the Fusion Document Management and Collaboration Platform, and the Trident IWR. Also, in December 2007 TS spun off its RockBlocks business unit into a new entity (RockBlocks Group, Inc.) but retained all other business operations.
Located in the Boston area, and with offices in New London, CT and Bhubaneshwar, India, Tourtellotte Solutions is currently a 30-person company that has grown from a small consulting firm into an integrated products and services firm, now primarily focused on the pharmaceuetical market. With no outside funding, the organization has been profitable in every quarter since the company's inception.
